Flowers Note Card

Purple_flowers_open_card These imaginary flowers were the initial thoughts I had when I considered using sashiko for a background design. I was inspired by Japanese design, and I knew I couldn't emulate the gorgeous washi paper that I love. I enjoy the rich details, the unexpected shimmer (in the silver floating petals in this case) and the sometimes startling color combinations.

I've learned something in each of the Gocco printed cards I've made with the sashiko design. The more I print, the more I understand the Gocco system's strengths and how to work with the limitations.

As with all of my Gocco projects, this note card is available in my ETSY shop.

Such a peaceful and thought inspiring design.

Oh, I love the design, and the way the two patterns interlock... Cool stuff, Brenda!
